The Brief

Create a dynamic, kinetic visual identity for a new brand. After considering how companies use sophisticated techniques to play on our emotions, and the likely impact of new technology - you will develop a new future-facing brand.

 

Consideration of the brand’s personality will lead on to creating a set of elements, which you will use to create a dynamic piece of animated content to launch the new service.

The Outcome

Vertical farming is an emerging market that seeks to revolutionise food production through the use of controlled growing conditions. This allows us to source high quality food at low cost to the environment.

 

I developed vertical farming brand NULU from scratch with a focus to create something that feels organic, even sampling colours from my local environment. The name is a contraction of the word 'nucleus', which is the most important part of plant cells. The bold yet approachable visual identity is designed to reflect the attitude of a brand that seeks to do bold things for everyone's benefit.

The deliverables are a brand launch video, packaging, and a brand guide. In Spring 2024 I revisited the project to create a prototype app and website, which will be shown here soon.
